Automotive Counter Professional

The Auto Parts Counter Professional reports directly to the Store Manager and is responsible for inside sales activity within store. To succeed in this role, you must be able to build and maintain productive relationships with existing customers and close sales to achieve goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with existing customers
- Closing sales to achieve goals
- Working with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Becoming familiar with customers and their needs
- Locating hard-to-find parts and negotiating with vendors for the best deal
- Accurately quoting parts to customers
- Following up with customers who have not ordered recently to ensure they have purchased quoted parts
- Tracking lost sales
- Promoting company specials
- Assisting other countermen when necessary
- Fostering new sales opportunities with new and existing customers
- Fulfilling customer orders from installers, fleets, municipalities, and car dealerships to sell auto parts, tools, shop equipment, and programs
