POSITION SUMMARY

The Infection Control Manager will support the executive director in the daily operations of the department. Responsibilities include training new personnel, assisting with competency assessments for existing staff, updating and revising policies, and collaborating with the director to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, health-related field, or equivalent.
  • Master's degree in Public Health is preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of clinical or disease surveillance experience within a healthcare environment.
  • Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Georgia.
  • Proven knowledge of microbiology and infectious diseases, along with a comprehensive understanding of epidemiology and biostatistics principles.
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is required.
  • Familiarity with CDC, NHSN, DPH, and Joint Commission regulations and standards.
