Job Title: Blade Repair Services Technician Associate

RWE Clean Energy, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Blade Repair Services Technician Associate to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a strong background in operations and maintenance of power generation, blade repair, transmission, and distribution.

Responsibilities:
  • Assure that all operation and maintenance activities are performed safely and consistently with policies and procedures.
  • Climb wind towers and access wind turbines to perform composite repair & maintenance tasks.
  • Lift, carry, and transport essential equipment, tools, and materials to the job site.
  • Assist in transportation, setup, and the operation of the up-tower blade access mechanism.
  • Support a team performing platform and ground access composite repairs on multiple turbine manufacturers.
  • Assist in the mobilization of all repair equipment to the site.
  • Assure proper storage, maintenance, and handling of all Blade Repair Service equipment.
  • Perform safety and other wind farm-related tasks and act as a backup to personnel at other RWE sites when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • An associate degree in science or a related field from an accredited school is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in operations and maintenance of power generation, blade repair, transmission, and distribution.
  • Experience in project development or adjacent areas within the power sector is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and work ethic.
  • All applicants must pass physical fitness tests to maintain Global Wind Organization Certification.
  • All applicants must possess an unrestricted drivers license in good standing.
  • Willing to relocate to within 1 hour drive of the site.
  • Willing and able to obtain and maintain an RWE-sponsored Commercial Driver License (CDL), if so requested by RWE.
Work Environment:

This position is a site-based role that involves occasional travel. Must possess the ability to climb wind towers regularly. It involves the capability to manipulate hatch doors and recognize potential safety risks. Additionally, the individual should be able to crouch, kneel, or half-kneel for intervals of up to five minutes to execute maintenance duties in low areas.

Travel up to 75%, multiple worksites, hot/cold weather conditions, irregular hours on short notice.
