Overview

We are seeking a skilled Capital Expenditure Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team at DPS Group Global.

The Capital Expenditure Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in overseeing, directing, and sustaining projects throughout the complete construction project lifecycle. This position ensures that all activities are executed to the highest standards, leading to the safe and successful completion of our initiatives.

The Coordinator will manage a collection of small to mid-sized projects, focusing on the effective execution of onsite capital expenditure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary on-site liaison for clients.
  • Collaborate with Safety, Construction Management Team (CMT), and subcontractors to proactively plan and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure the safety of all assigned personnel and subcontractors, adhering strictly to company safety policies and procedures through effective communication and enforcement.
  • Develop and finalize the Project Execution Plan.
  • Assist in the selection of subcontractors and vendors, including negotiations, sub-agreements, material agreements, and purchase orders.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of contracts, including obligations of both the contractor and the owner.
  • Identify potential project risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Provide timely notifications to the owner to safeguard DPS's interests concerning additional work, design modifications, delays, and impacts.
  • Oversee design and construction resources.
  • Compile and present reports related to financials, schedules, and production metrics for the Project Executive.
  • Ensure the project meets high-quality standards and delivers a superior product.
  • Facilitate and coordinate payments from the owner, ensuring timely transactions.
  • Manage the project budget effectively.
  • Foster strong relationships with Superintendents and Construction Managers involved in the project.
  • Collaborate with Superintendents to perform construction management responsibilities on projects that do not require a Project Manager, Construction Manager, or Superintendent.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with clients, subcontractors, designers, and consultants.
  • Possess knowledge of craft jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to motivate and cultivate teamwork across all project areas.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with over 10 years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience as an Owner's representative is essential.
  • OSHA 30 certification is required.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Adept at reading and interpreting documents such as safety regulations, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
  • Plans for additional resources and integrates changes smoothly. Sets clear goals and objectives, working in an organized manner.
  • Highly motivated, well-organized, and demonstrates professional initiative.
  • This position may involve working in both an office environment and on construction sites.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Deltek, Procore, Bluebeam, and NavisWorks.
