Job Summary

Danimer Scientific is seeking an experienced Electrical Instrumentation Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair activities in a cGMP manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot process equipment, utility, and facility issues.
  • Improve existing and new equipment, utilities, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Complete PM records, equipment logs, and other forms to document work activities.
  • Perform emergency repairs in a high-quality, timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Discover, evaluate, and recommend mechanical, electrical, control system, or equipment upgrades to continually improve quality, safety, and reliability and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Analog, Pneumatic, HART, Fieldbus, AS-i, DeviceNet, and IP devices.
  • Experience with Pressure, Flow, Temperature, pH, DO, Valve Positioners, Tachometers, controllers, and other instrumentation.
  • Experience with DCSs, DeltaV, Rockwell, and/or other control programs.
  • Experience with VFDs, Soft Starts, UPS, generators, motors, MCCs, switchgear, and other single phase or 3 phase electrical equipment up to 480VAC.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Trade school.
  • Electrical license.
  • 2 years of experience with Analog, Pneumatic, HART, Fieldbus, AS-i, DeviceNet, and IP devices.
  • 2 years of experience with Pressure, Flow, Temperature, pH, DO, Valve Positioners, Tachometers, controllers, and other instrumentation.
  • 2 years of experience with DCSs, DeltaV, Rockwell, and/or other control programs.
  • 2 years of experience with VFDs, Soft Starts, UPS, generators, motors, MCCs, switchgear, and other single phase or 3 phase electrical equipment up to 480VAC.
Work Environment

The Electrical Instrumentation Technician will work in a high-demand, non-climate control manufacturing setting. The employee will be frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands

The Electrical Instrumentation Technician will be required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee will occasionally be required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
