Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Control Technical Consultant to join our team at Travelers Indemnity Co. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our customers in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with underwriting teams to select, retain, and grow a profitable book of business.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with underwriting, claims, and risk control specialists to service customers as a unified team.
  • Conduct risk assessment evaluations for moderate to high complex accounts with potential for severe losses, multi-location companies, and larger fleet exposures.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to help customers control losses.
  • Provide solutions to assist customers in risk mitigation through the use of our extensive resources.
  • Stay current with technical subject matters, regulatory environment, and emerging issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance industry and business acumen.
  • Graduate degree in related field or recognized relevant certifications.
  • Technical aptitude, detail-oriented, and superior communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with all stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment.
  • Critical thinking skills and influencing skills to drive business needs.
