About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Special Procedures Technologist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology, with experience in performing technical duties within Radiology. You will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures that apply ionizing radiation and other forms of energy, and will work closely with a qualified physician to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities

As a Special Procedures Technologist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing technical duties within Radiology, including imaging procedures that apply ionizing radiation and other forms of energy
  • Working closely with a qualified physician to ensure the highest level of patient care
  • Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of radiologic technology and its applications
  • Providing exceptional patient care and communication
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A valid and current license as a Radiologic Technologist as indicated by the NYS Department of Health
  • Completion of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registration by ARRT to perform CT and/or MRI
  • Proficiency in all areas of general Radiologic technology, and one other modality
  • Ability to lift or move 50 pounds without assistance
