Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing medically prescribed radiographic and CT procedures using computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform filming of optimum quality and archive the data
Use efficient methods and complete examinations assigned in a reasonable amount of time
Perform transmission and/or segmentation for transmission to PACS in a complete and proper anatomic display
Generate high-quality hard copies of images when necessary
Maintain cleanliness of the radiographic area
Prepare equipment and supplies in advance for future exams
Make alterations in work schedule for STAT and emergency cases
Alter work patterns to satisfy the needs of the patient and medical staff
Recognize a medical emergency and notify the nurse, PA, and/or MD immediately

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED
Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
New York State license
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) and IV Contrast Certification within 3 months of employment
Advance Certification in Computerized Tomography
