Position Overview: This role involves supporting public health nursing initiatives primarily within a county health department clinic under the supervision of a County Coordinating Nurse. Responsibilities encompass conducting patient evaluations, formulating treatment strategies, delivering health education, referring patients to appropriate care, executing disease control measures, performing direct patient care tasks, engaging in home visits, and participating in emergency/disaster response teams.

Key Qualifications for Success: To excel in this position, candidates should possess strong multitasking, organizational, and communication abilities. It is essential to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and collaborate well within a team. Familiarity with MSDH programs and the ability to apply this knowledge to assist clients and/or patients is necessary.

Preferred Credentials: A Certificate from an Approved School of Nursing, Licensure as an LPN, and 0-4 years of relevant experience are typically required.
