Job Title: Senior Substation Physical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Substation Physical Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Power Delivery Services Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing substation electrical projects for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop substation electrical projects, including one-line drawings, three-line drawings, and plan-section drawings.
  • Perform quality control checks on substation physical design projects to ensure compliance with client standards and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to meet project needs and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of substation design and engineering principles, including grounding studies and lightning protection.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and designers to ensure the success of the project team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in substation physical design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license and Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Experience with bus calculation, WinIGS, and CDEGS software preferred.
