We are looking for a dedicated Merchandise Coordinator to become a vital member of our Purchasing Team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic environment that values collaboration and innovation.

Position Overview

As a Merchandise Coordinator (Full-time Hourly), you will play a crucial role in our purchasing operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing product assortments, including item and purchase order oversight.
  • Maintaining accurate records and tracking orders.
  • Reconciling invoices with order receipts.
  • Communicating effectively with stores and vendors.

In this position, you will support the purchasing team in implementing product vision and assortment planning to optimize sales, per capita spending, cost of goods sold (COGs), and inventory management. You will also engage in special projects that align with our business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Business and Financial:

  • Assist Buyers and collaborate with Replenishment and Planning teams to meet sales and inventory goals.
  • Support purchase order maintenance and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy.

Management and Operations:

  • Execute operational tasks that support product vision, including item setup and order tracking.
  • Manage product lifecycle needs, including markdowns and item status management.

Administrative:

  • Maintain system data for item setup, price changes, and vendor management.
  • Provide support for inventory control issues and assist in resolving discrepancies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in retail as a Merchandise Coordinator, Assistant Buyer, or similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.

Physical Demands: This role may require standing, walking, and using hands frequently, along with occasional reaching, climbing, and stooping.
