Job Summary

The Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care while upholding the mission, vision, and values of RN-Staff. This role requires the ability to interpret cardiac rhythm strips and take appropriate action in response to findings. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of IV drip titration and be able to apply this knowledge to patient care.

Essential Functions
  • Provides patient care based on established standards of care, practice, protocols, and policies.
  • Respects each patient's individuality and provides care that fosters dignity and positive self-regard.
  • Provides patient/family teaching based on identified learning needs, readiness to learn, and barriers to learning.
  • Collaboratively plans and prepares patient/family for discharge, incorporating support systems/resources as necessary.
  • Delegates and supervises nursing interventions performed by others, prioritizing patient care as needed.
  • Documents all pertinent data, therapeutic interventions, and patient responses according to established standards.
  • Provides timely and thorough report on assigned patients to other healthcare team members to ensure integration of services and continuity of patient care.
Functional Demands

This role requires the ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The nurse will also frequently reach, handle, and feel objects, and occasionally stoop and kneel.

Job Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • 1 year med-surge experience preferred.
  • Previous telemetry experience preferred.

Current MA RN License, BLS-AHA required, ACLS obtained within 60-days of hire.
