Summer Camp Program Coordinator

Tranquil Multi Dynamic Advisory (TMDA) is seeking a responsible and energetic individual to serve as a team member of our Summer Camp 2024 program. As a Summer Camp Leader, you will be responsible for planning and supervising recreation activities during summer day camp programs. Key Responsibilities
Participate in orientation training and become familiar with camp policies, procedures, and philosophy.
Organize and set up programs and activities, gather materials, supplies, and equipment for use in implementing plans, and supervise recreation activities.
Resolve differences that may arise during play and assist at all camp check-ins and check-outs with assigned roles and responsibilities.
Participate in all activities with campers, encourage and facilitate camper participation in all activities by implementing appropriate strategies with supervisory staff, and assure that all of the camper's belongings are returned to guardians.
Open and close the summer camp program, checking the summer camp designated area for any safety issues and reporting any maintenance issues within this area, and maintain the cleanliness of all areas of camp utilized by campers and camp staff.
Comply with established policies, procedures, and regulations of the Parks & Recreation Department and the City, and serve as an effective group leader and present a positive role model to participants.
Requirements
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
Some experience working in a camp setting, and recreation supervisory experience preferred.
Must be able to work the entire camp session, have transportation to all sites, and be able to work various hours between 7:15am to 6:00pm.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
