Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset and Preventative Maintenance Manager to join our team at Dartmouth College. This is a key role that will play a crucial part in ensuring that our academic, residential, and administrative buildings are well-maintained, safe, and conducive to a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an effective Asset and Preventative Maintenance program, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all campus assets, managing their lifecycle from acquisition to disposal.
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders, asset performance, and compliance with maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with municipal, state, and federal regulations, as well as university policies and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to ensure a safe environment for students, faculty, and staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
  • 5-plus years of experience in facilities maintenance management, preferably within a university or educational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance best practices, and applicable safety regulations.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in CMMS or IWMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Facilities Management (CFM) or equivalent is desirable.
  • Work experience within a university or educational environment.
  • The ability to develop partnerships with customers, built on delivery, timely and effective communication, and trust.
