We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at GENESYS Health Alliance, providing high-quality healthcare services in a correctional setting.
Key Responsibilities- Administer routine and emergency medical care to detainees, treating acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
- Provide patient treatments as ordered by licensed medical providers, including blood pressure checks, glucose monitoring, and nebulizer treatments.
- Ensure all referrals for consultation, treatment, or resolution of problems are valid and applicable to documented nursing plans.
- Administer ordered medications to inmates as directed by licensed medical providers and document administration as required by GENESYS Health Alliance policy/procedure.
- Carry out nursing care plans on inmates as prescribed or directed by ALP, Physician, and/or RN.
- Ensure security of area and medications while administration is occurring, prioritizing patient safety.
- Complete initial and ongoing screening on detained individuals upon admission into a correctional setting.
- Explain procedures and treatment protocols to patients.
- Graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of employment or ability to obtain license.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Correctional nursing experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, including a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Available shift: 6A-6P - Day Shift.
- Physical setting: Corrections (Jail / Prison / Detention Center).
Hourly wage: $25-$25.
