Full Time Residential Aide

Job Summary:

The Residential Aide will work closely with our nursing staff to administer medications and treatments, maintain a safe and clean environment, and provide emotional support to our residents. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional care and support to residents, including administering medications and treatments as directed by nursing staff.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including performing thorough searches of residents' belongings and disposing of any prohibited items.
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as passing medications, logging and storing personal belongings, and completing hourly rounds.
  • Participate in facility quality improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for efficiency and improved patient experience.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in discussions to improve patient care and services.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by nursing staff.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
  • Ability to successfully complete training in CPR, First Aid, and behavior intervention techniques.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to perform general household upkeep and maintenance.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with an acute attention to detail.
  • Previous experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of diplomacy and political awareness.
