Material Handler Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team at Irby Utilities. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials and supplies within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and move materials within or near the work site
  • Utilize RF devices to fill orders and issue materials and supplies per requests
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies
  • Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Champion effective inventory management practices
  • Adhere to and promote safety and security policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate exceptional reliability while maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Requirements

  • Ability to reach, bend, and lift/push packages that weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • Attention to detail and good time management skills
  • Ability to work full time, 40 hours per week
