Job Title: Cloud Data Platform Specialist

Job Summary:

Diamondpick is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Platform Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a unified data access platform that supports governance and security on AWS and non-AWS assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design unified data access for various personas, including data engineers, data analysts, and data stewards, using simplified access control mechanisms.
  • Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for data engineers to deploy and push code across multiple environments.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform for reproducible and scalable deployments.
  • Work closely with data governance teams to implement data governance policies, periodic review, and optimization of repository from security and governance perspectives.
  • Continuously improve the Cloud Data Platform to enhance speed, agility, and cost efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in reducing costs and increasing speed and efficiency in large-scale data platform deployments.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Python scripting, and GitHub Actions for deployment of infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Deep understanding of data governance policies, implementation best practices, and hands-on experience in implementing Policies as Code.
  • Architecture, design, and implementation of unified data access using AWS Lake Formation, AWS Data Zone, IAM, OKTA, and others.
  • Experience in architecture and security of AWS EC2, EBS, S3, EKS, Athena, Redshift, RDS, Kafka, Glue, and other data management tools.
  • Experience in designing and implementing granular access to data without losing speed and agility of delivering access provisioning.
  • Expertise in CI/CD process and deployment technologies using tools like GitHub, GitHub Actions.
  • Expertise in logging, monitoring, reliability engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts and experience managing network-related issues.
