Join our team at Chapters Health System as an Admission Registered Nurse (RN) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Admission RN to provide and arrange for Hospice care for patients/families in a collaborative relationship with other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:- Initiate appropriate referrals to other disciplines and/or community.
- Implement approved emergency medications appropriately and effectively.
- Initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures to maximize quality of life.
- Function as a member of the regional and admissions team by demonstrating flexibility in work schedules and shared responsibility for delivery of care.
- Conduct orientation, teaching, mentoring, and training or supervision of the orientation and training of Hospice employees and volunteers assigned to the clinical service.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, QUAPI program and hospice sponsored inservice training.
- Evaluate own needs for support and use identified system(s) to meet the need.
- At least two years of public health/community health, med surg or related nursing experience.
- Licensure from the governing body for practice for the District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia, based on the state/jurisdiction of practice.
- Healthcare Provider BLS (CPR) is required to practice in State of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
