Azure Cloud Software Engineer I

Penske is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Software Engineer I to join our team in Azure Development. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-performant, scalable, end-to-end cloud solutions in Azure platform.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop cloud-native applications using Azure services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, and Azure SQL Database.
- Develop and maintain Java-based services in Azure OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
- Utilize Azure Cognitive Services for natural language processing, computer vision, and machine learning.
- Implement best practices for cloud application security, compliance, and governance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical/business leaders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient cloud solutions.
- Participate in all aspects of the Software Development lifecycle through supporting existing software development efforts and developing new software modules.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Development Experience in Java.
- 3+ years of experience in developing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Proficiency in Azure Cognitive Services, AI/ML, Azure services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, etc.
- Knowledge of cloud-native development frameworks and tools.
- Experience with Java development and deployment in OpenShift/Kubernetes containerized environments.
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Developer, Azure AI Engineer).
- Strong understanding of cloud application architecture, design principles, cloud-native development frameworks, and tools.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning and Data Science concepts.
- Knowledge of Python programming.
- Knowledge of technical project management.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of full software development lifecycle.
- Ability to research emerging cloud development frameworks and tools.
- A team player mindset with an ability to thrive and effectively communicate in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
