We are seeking a part-time Adjunct Lecturer to teach in our Health Information Technology Department at Malcolm X College. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and learning, and a commitment to the mission of the community college.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and deliver courses that meet learning outcomes and promote student engagement.
- Create an effective learning environment that fosters students' intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills.
- Employ a variety of assessments to ensure that classroom instruction leads to student learning and attainment of course outcomes.
- Help students reach their academic, personal, and career goals, and foster a safe and respectful environment.
- Contribute to and provide leadership in the academic and professional communities, and promote collaboration and teamwork.
- Master's Degree in Health Information Technology or a related field. RHIT/RHIA credential highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Blackboard Learning Management System, preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to communicate with diverse groups.
- Experience with a diverse, multi-lingual student population, and a commitment to the open access mission of the community college.
