AP Analyst

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Analyst to join our Accounting and Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and recording invoices from vendors, tracking inventory-related invoices, and monitoring company accounts payable listings.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and record invoices from vendors with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Track inventory-related invoices and confirm receipt of shipments with vendors and third parties.
• Monitor company accounts payable listings and prepare invoices for payment.
• Review and identify discrepancies based on vendor-provided statements.
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Set up and maintain accurate vendor information.
• Analyze accounts payable reports on a weekly basis and communicate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate payment.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures, including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and ensuring all transactions are recorded timely.

Requirements

• Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Experience in the freight or beverage industry is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to learn new software quickly, with experience in NetSuite or QuickBooks being a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business discipline.
• Ideal candidate would have 1-2 years of previous experience in an accounting or related role, with recent graduates also considered.
• The role requires the individual to work on-site in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
