We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Detox Support Specialist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Detox Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with client screening, admission, discharge, orientation, and assessment functions as assigned by Supervisor.
- Conduct regular checks on clients, complete necessary observation log documentation, and collect and complete vital signs, urine screens, and strip searches.
- Facilitate client orientation, educational, and recreational groups, and communicate relevant information to staff and clinical teams.
- Develop and maintain professional boundaries and relations with clients, and search client rooms and common areas for contraband.
- Adhere to program procedures, enforce rules, regulations, and policies, and ensure client adherence to same.
- Respond to client and program crises, report incidents to Supervisor and Program Administrator, and maintain safety, appearance, and cleanliness of the facility.
- Complete paperwork for lab work, end-of-shift reports, and DSS audits, and data entry and filing for admissions screenings as necessary.
