We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Administrative offices in Pawcatuck, CT, as a Senior Human Resources Specialist. This role is responsible for supporting and administering the company's HR programs, policies, and procedures in a legally compliant manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, as well as excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the oversight and administration of human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and performance management systems.
• Support the onboarding and offboarding of employees, ensuring a seamless transition process.
• Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Conduct audits and file mandatory reports, including I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, and Affirmative Action Plans.
• Implement and maintain HRIS systems, streamlining workflow and collecting critical HR metrics.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or 10+ years of demonstrated experience as an HR Generalist in lieu of an HR degree.
• At least 5 years of additional Human Resources experience, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or CHRP certification is strongly preferred.
