Librarian II

MORI Associates is seeking a highly skilled Librarian II to join our team at the NASA Enterprise Library/Ames Research Center. As a key member of our library staff, you will play a critical role in supporting the Agencywide research community and enabling NASA's missions.

• Respond to requests for materials via circulation, interlibrary loan, and reference research inquiries.
• Assist library management with support to technical services, collection management, process improvement, and data analytics/reporting.
• Help patrons in the use of library catalogs, databases, and indexes to locate books and other materials.
• Answer all levels of reference requests, from brief consultation of standard reference materials to in-depth queries requiring extended research.
• Compile and maintain records, sort and shelve books or other media, and remove or repair damaged items.
• Register patrons and check materials in and out of the circulation process.
• Direct the efforts of the ARC library staff in management of the collection and related catalog and metadata entries.
• Generate routine and/or ad-hoc reports for OCOMM management/OCOMM customers.
• Work with NASA Library leadership and colleagues in the development and improvement of library workflows and processes.

• Master's degree in library science, information science, or other appropriate area of specialization from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in advanced oral and written communications, advanced writing and editing, and advanced problem-solving.
• Experience in an academic/research library environment is preferable, and experience in a branch/department supervisory role is a plus.
