Job Summary:
MV Transportation seeks a skilled Transit Instructor to join our team. As a Transit Instructor, you will provide individualized training and support to individuals with physical and developmental disabilities, as well as senior citizens, to help them become independent users of public transportation.

About the Role:
This role requires a high level of compassion, empathy, and understanding of the needs of individuals with disabilities. You will work closely with clients, family members, and other agency staff to develop and implement personalized training plans that address the unique needs of each participant. Your ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, will be essential in ensuring successful outcomes for participants.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Conduct assessments to identify participants' functional skills, abilities, and necessary training requirements
* Develop and implement individualized training plans to address the unique needs of each participant
* Provide one-on-one field training to participants in public transportation settings
* Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of participant progress and training activities
* Collaborate with clients, family members, and other agency staff to ensure successful outcomes for participants

Requirements:
* Equivalent to an AA degree from an accredited institution in social services, special education, or a related field
* Two years of experience providing instruction or working one-on-one with individuals with disabilities, including those with physical and developmental disabilities, as well as senior citizens
* Valid driver's license, good driving record, proof of insurance, and own transportation
* Strong user knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
* Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse populations
* Ability to self-manage in remote settings and work independently with minimal supervision

Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $25-$27.12 per hour, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes PPO medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage, as well as a 401(k) plan and union pension. We also offer paid time off, paid holidays, and generous paid sick leave.
