About the Job

As an Assembly Production Specialist, you will perform a variety of jobs fitting together manufactured and purchased parts into subassemblies or complete products. These products can be mechanical, electrical, or a combination of both.

This role offers the opportunity to acquire the skills necessary to advance to more senior classifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and understand blueprints and routings to produce parts from them to the required specifications.
  • Responsible for the quality of the assemblies produced. Perform first-piece inspection and subsequent inspections to ensure overall quality.
  • Responsible for routine maintenance and keeping the work area neat and clean.
  • Follow all rules regarding machine operation and machine guarding.
  • Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality, and safety.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • The skill and ability to assemble manufactured and purchased parts into subassemblies or complete products.
  • The ability to operate assembly equipment such as rivet machines, assembly presses, and power tools.
  • The physical ability to do work requiring frequent standing, sitting, and bending, as well as pushing, pulling, and lifting to 30 lbs. frequently.
  • Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
  • Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate the equipment properly.
