Economics Adjunct Instructor

Position Overview
The Business Department at Pensacola State College is seeking qualified individuals to teach college-level Economics courses. These courses are offered in various formats, including in-person, live online through Zoom, and asynchronous online. As an adjunct instructor, you will be responsible for guiding students, designing course materials, evaluating student performance, contributing to program assessments, and upholding the standards of both the College and the department.
Essential Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates must possess a master's degree in Economics from an accredited institution or a master's degree accompanied by 18 graduate credit hours in Economics. A successful criminal background check is also a prerequisite. Instructors should demonstrate proficiency in the technology required for their assigned courses.

Compensation:
Adjunct Faculty members are compensated on an hourly basis, with rates determined by educational qualifications:
- Master's Degree: $34.00 per hour
- Doctorate: $37.00 per hour
Note: This position is part of an open applicant pool, and selections are made by the department as needed.
In accordance with College policy, all applicants must meet the requirements outlined in Florida Statutes regarding background checks. Candidates who do not meet these requirements will be considered unqualified for this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted for all successful candidates, and any failure to disclose adverse information during the application process will result in disqualification from employment.
