We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist II to join our team at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital. As an Occupational Therapist II, you will play a vital role in evaluating and developing therapy plans for patients with a broad range of diagnoses and acuities.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients to identify their level of function and develop treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers on therapy plans and progress.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to modify treatment plans and achieve patient-specific goals.
- Assist with quality metrics and analytics, and participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Precept and mentor less experienced staff, and serve as a clinical resource to students and fellows.
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for occupational therapy.
- Three years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, or two years with a Doctorate degree, or completion of a HM or comparable Occupational Therapy Fellowship/Residency program.
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist, with a compact license acceptable according to current Board requirements within 90 days.
