Job Summary

The Electrical Controls Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of industrial equipment in a lumber manufacturing environment. This role requires strong electrical and mechanical skills, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain electrical control systems to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex control systems using electrical and mechanical skills
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is running at optimal levels
  • Develop and implement procedures for maintaining and repairing electrical control systems

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of experience in electrical controls or a related field
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PLCs, LADDER LOGIC, and HMI systems
  • Experience with thermography and level 1 certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
