Woodworking Specialist

CYNWAVE Solutions, LLC is seeking a skilled Woodworker to join our team at Fort Eisenhower. As a Woodworker, you will be responsible for crafting, assembling, repairing, and modifying wooden products and structures to support military operations and facility needs.

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood materials to build or repair furniture, crates, shelving, and other wooden structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to create wood components and products that meet specified dimensions and design requirements.
• Safely operate woodworking machinery, including saws, sanders, routers, and other power tools. Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery as needed.
• Perform repairs on wooden structures, furniture, or components as required, and make necessary modifications to improve functionality or durability.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of completed work by checking for precise measurements, alignment, and finishes. Apply stains, varnishes, or paints to protect and enhance the appearance of wood products.
• Select appropriate types of wood and materials for each project, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimal waste.
• Follow all safety guidelines when working with machinery, tools, and materials. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in woodworking, carpentry, or a related trade. Experience in a military or government contracting environment is preferred.

• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in various environments, including workshops and construction sites.
