Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Operator to join our INEOS Composites team at our manufacturing facility. As a Polyester Resin Specialist, you will be responsible for loading and packaging polyester resin, transferring finished product into tank wagons, and preparing product for shipping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Packaging: Load tank wagons with polyester resin by following established procedures and instructions.
  • Product Transfer: Transfer finished product into tank wagons and prepare product for shipping.
  • Safety Culture: Understand, practice, and drive a safety culture in the workplace.

Essential Functions
  • Loading Tank Wagons: Load tank wagons with polyester resin by following established procedures and instructions.
  • Loading Drums: Load drums with polyester resin by following established procedures and instructions.
  • Making Blends: Make blends in blend and/or thin tanks to proper specifications by following established procedures and instructions.
  • Safely Handling Materials: Safely handle numerous liquid and solid raw materials used in the blending process.
  • Transferring Resins: Transfer base resins from cooling tanks to thin tanks and charge thin tank monomer.
  • Handling Hazardous Waste: Properly handle and store hazardous waste materials, and be trained in emergency procedures in the event of a hazardous spill.
  • Maintaining Housekeeping: Maintain housekeeping and cleaning in the area to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Aiding Colleagues: Aid A & B Operators as directed by the Manufacturing Supervisor.
  • Training and Development: Perform introductory and annual training in RCRA, HAZCOM, Forklift Operation, Yard Dog Operation, SPCCC, Incipient firefighting, TSCA, and DOT Shipping Papers.
  • Following Procedures: Follow all established procedures and maintain all logs and paperwork for job responsibilities.
  • Embracing Safety Culture: Embrace the culture of prevention and follow all safety rules and procedures to work safely on all tasks.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma.
  • Operational Skills: Ability to operate fork trucks and park bulk tank wagons, and 53-foot-long box trailers; training provided.
  • Work Schedule: Ability to work a rotating 12-hour work shift, weekends, holidays, etc. with willingness to work overtime.
  • Computer Skills: Should possess word processing, Excel, and personal computer skills.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to perform lifting and climb stairs.
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to perform tasks wearing full face respiratory protection.
