Position Overview
SAIC is seeking a committed Engineering Technician to contribute to innovative projects at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center. The successful candidate will excel in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Primary Duties:
- Deliver technical assistance and solutions to a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide insightful recommendations for engineering issues promptly.
- Engage in the fabrication and assembly of hardware components.
- Support a variety of engineering tasks, including design, testing, and prototype assembly.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting based on established technical documentation.
- Help identify and rectify operational malfunctions.
- Review engineering documentation and offer constructive feedback.
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Associate's degree in a relevant technical discipline or a High school diploma/GED.
- Mandatory US Citizenship.
- Current Secret Clearance required, with the capability to secure a TS Clearance.
- Experience in cable production is preferred.
- Expertise in electromechanical hardware design.
- Strong skills in interpreting schematics and performing troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with precision measurement instruments.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality assurance.
- Experience in Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR) is advantageous.
SAIC is open to receiving applications continuously.
