Job Title: Regional Coordinator, HSPRS Program

Join the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in a critical role that supports the well-being and safety of unaccompanied children in the United States. As a Regional Coordinator for the Home Study and Post-Release Services (HSPRS) program, you will oversee the implementation of case management services in a designated region, ensuring the highest standards of quality and adherence to best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide regional oversight and coordination for the HSPRS program, working closely with the HSPRS Casework Supervisor to ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.
  • Supervise up to 6 roving or remote HSPRS case managers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality case management services.
  • Monitor case management service provision, reviewing documentation for accuracy and timeliness, and ensuring that policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Act as a point of escalation for staff with complex cases, notifications of concern, and client crisis, liaising with child welfare and law enforcement agencies as needed.
  • Ensure all case managers have been appropriately onboarded and oriented to their position, providing regular professional development training in case work and client-facing skills.
  • Support staff onboarding, ongoing development, and training for Child Protection staff.
  • Coordinate case management services of the Home Study and Post-Release team in an expanded designated region, training and supervising case management staff.
  • Provide recommendations for hiring, promotions, terminations, and work assignments of case management staff.
  • In collaboration with the Quality Assurance Specialist and Training Specialist, support the team in conducting annual monitoring of the national network, issuing Corrective Action Plans, and providing technical assistance.
  • Facilitate regional UC provider meetings with external stakeholders, including regular case management meetings.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree and three years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to travel independently throughout the relevant region.
  • Ability to work independently and during non-traditional hours, such as evenings and weekends.
  • Experience providing Home Study and Post-Release Services case management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex client situations, centering client safety and child protection principles.
  • Experience analyzing data and writing reports.
  • Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Proven ability to contribute both independently and as a key team member.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to prioritize duties and manage time effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be cleared and approved by the Office of Refugee Resettlement and background check, including FBI fingerprints and Child Abuse and Neglect checks, required upon hire.
