About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Prevention Specialist to join our team at Providence Mount St. Vincent. As an Infection Prevention Practitioner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of infection control and prevention in our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infections
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to educate and train staff on infection control best practices
  • Investigate and report on infection control incidents and near misses
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest infection control guidelines and regulations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field
  • National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology
  • 1 year of Healthcare Experience
  • 1 year of Epidemiology Experience
