Position Overview

US Logistics Solutions is in search of dedicated and career-focused individuals to engage in full-time roles within our dynamic shipping and dock operations. Our Cargo Handlers play a crucial role in the efficient loading and unloading of freight from our trailers, ensuring safety and timeliness in all tasks. This position involves regular lifting, pulling, pushing, and transporting of freight, with all necessary training and resources provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the loading and unloading of straight trucks and/or 53 ft. commercial trailers
  • Utilize handheld scanners to effectively track and navigate freight through our distribution system
  • Label boxes accurately and prepare freight for dispatch
  • Ensure safe loading and unloading of trailers
  • Confirm documentation and assess the condition of freight to meet quality standards
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Maintain a tidy and secure working environment
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Team-oriented individual who excels in a fast-paced setting
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary
  • Knowledge of forklift operations and general freight handling is essential
