We are seeking a skilled Progressive Care Patient Care Technician to join our team at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. As a member of our Progressive Care Unit, you will provide direct patient care to support licensed professional nurses, ensuring a safe environment for patients and reducing the risk of harm.
Key Responsibilities- Collect vital information on patients and report changes to the nursing team
- Implement direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, promoting patient and family-centered care
- Administer or assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), perform vital signs, intake & output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention measures, urinary catheter care, phlebotomy, or point of care testing as requested
- Assist nurse with patient and family education, document all patient care activities provided with correct medical terminology, and act as a 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary
- High School Diploma or GED
- No experience required, but a Certified Nurse Assistant certification is preferred
