At the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, we are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Research Engineer to join our team. As a researcher in this role, you will contribute to pioneering work in neural interfaces, neurally-inspired AI, and human-machine teaming.

Job Description

This position is responsible for leading and developing algorithms and systems in domains spanning neural interfaces, biologically inspired AI, connectomics, and human-machine teaming. You will make an impact as an emerging leader on a multi-disciplinary research team, collaboratively leading and conducting pioneering research with government and commercial partners.

Qualifications
  • PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cognitive Science, Mathematics or a related discipline
  • Classroom or professional experience developing software and/or data analysis scripts
  • Classroom or professional experience conducting research on brain-computer interfaces, biologically-inspired artificial intelligence algorithms, connectomics, or human-machine teaming
  • Able to obtain Secret level security clearance
Estimated Salary Range: $90,000 - $220,000 per year
