Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Psychiatrist to join our team at MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society. As a Staff Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing patients in outpatient mental health clinics, as well as supervising trainees and providing leadership for clinical functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and manage patients in outpatient mental health clinics
  • Supervise trainees, including medical students and residents
  • Practice safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods
  • Instruct other personnel on preventive medicine programs and other medical activities
  • Provide oversight and leadership for clinical functions of staff and trainees
  • Participate in hospital or service level committees, such as Medication Management Committee or Pain Committee
Requirements
  • United States Citizenship
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited school
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States
  • Residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
