Job Description

Reports To: Controller

Supervises: N/A

Job Purpose: To execute a variety of tasks related to calculating, posting, and verifying financial data to support the maintenance of accounting records.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organizes and categorizes documents, including invoices and checks, to substantiate business transactions.
  2. Confirms and records details of financial transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts using calculators or computers.
  3. Calculates and documents charges, refunds, costs of lost or damaged goods, and similar items.
  4. May prepare vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records using a typewriter or computer.
  5. May perform reconciliation of bank statements.
  6. Adheres to all company policies and procedures relevant to this position and its responsibilities.
  7. Proactively greets guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  8. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  1. Accurately compute and record numerical data.
  2. Follow established procedures for maintaining records.
  3. Utilize hands and fingers simultaneously to enter figures into books and forms or to operate a calculator or personal computer.
  4. Carry out routine and detailed work effectively.
  5. Copy large volumes of numbers without errors.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, secretarial, or clerical roles.
