Financial Records Clerk

Supervises: N/A
Job Purpose: To execute a variety of tasks related to calculating, posting, and verifying financial data to support the maintenance of accounting records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizes and categorizes documents, including invoices and checks, to substantiate business transactions.
- Confirms and records details of financial transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts using calculators or computers.
- Calculates and documents charges, refunds, costs of lost or damaged goods, and similar items.
- May prepare vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records using a typewriter or computer.
- May perform reconciliation of bank statements.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures relevant to this position and its responsibilities.
- Proactively greets guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Accurately compute and record numerical data.
- Follow established procedures for maintaining records.
- Utilize hands and fingers simultaneously to enter figures into books and forms or to operate a calculator or personal computer.
- Carry out routine and detailed work effectively.
- Copy large volumes of numbers without errors.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, secretarial, or clerical roles.
