About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Management Analyst to join our Marketing, Brand and Innovation Team at E.A. Sween Company. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and category management excellence across our convenience store, grocery, mass, and vending channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain reporting that measures performance against strategies and objectives, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve category management solutions, working closely with internal and external partners to drive results.
  • Lead the category review process, working with a cross-functional team to provide complete category management solutions.
  • Work closely with business managers to become a trusted advisor, providing data-driven recommendations to drive business growth.
  • Ensure data accuracy and quality, leveraging available tools to develop Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, and Price strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years' experience with Sales and Data Analytics in an applicable field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large data sets, strategic curiosity, and enthusiasm for numbers and insights drawn from analytics.
  • Syndicated Data experience: IRI, Nielsen, and other relevant platforms preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in developing and delivering clear and compelling presentations.
  • Commitment to collaboration and teamwork, with a strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skillset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with customer data and consumer data.
  • Soft Skills: Proactive, self-motivated working style, ability to work occasional extra hours, and handle deadlines, confidential information, and interruptions in the work process.
Work Environment
  • Generally, an office/desk position using a computer and telephone.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasional travel to customers required (estimated 5-10%).
