Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our Clinical Engineering department, you will be responsible for providing planned maintenance, safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation, and routine and emergency service to general diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Planned Maintenance (PM) procedures on multiple types of general and specialized clinical equipment.
  • Provide Corrective Maintenance (CM) procedures, including diagnosing problems using thermodynamic, electronic/electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or other related sciences.
  • Notify equipment users and Clinical Engineering Management of repair status and delays as necessary.
  • Interact with clinical staff to understand and resolve operational problems in scheduling and completing PM procedures.
  • Determine need for replacement parts and supplies, select the most cost-effective source, and submit properly completed parts request.
  • Complete corrective and planned maintenance work order documentation.
  • Promote teamwork by keeping others informed, participating effectively in group decision making, and soliciting feedback about one's effectiveness as a team member.
  • Continually improve processes by seeking ways to eliminate and reduce waste.
  • Provide on-call service coverage after normal business hours on a rotating basis, as assigned.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry standards. You will also need to maintain a working knowledge of Trinity Health's Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, and other policies and procedures.
