Aircraft Maintenance Lead

StandardAero is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Lead to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our aviation repair and maintenance facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects and supervise the activities of A&P Mechanics, providing guidance and instruction on proper mechanical procedures and techniques.
  • Make sound decisions and take expedient action to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all work is performed with integrity, following company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Crew Chief to determine the scope of work and special maintenance requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance and major inspections on corporate aircraft, including troubleshooting, repair, and modification of aircraft components and engines.
  • Coordinate and delegate assignments to technicians, providing technical guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently, including finalizing work orders and preparing Release of Aircraft forms.
  • May serve as a Delegated Inspector, performing inspection duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an A&P Mechanic in corporate aviation.
  • Two years' experience in electronics and/or avionics in the aerospace industry or military equivalent.
  • Ability to manipulate equipment of all sizes, tools, computer keyboards, and telephones.
  • Technical competency on assigned aircraft/engine(s).
  • Ability to hear to detect the sources of problems.
  • Analytical skills required to perform complex mechanical troubleshooting.
  • History of demonstrating high levels of initiative in completing all job assignments.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Sufficient leadership skills to supervise others, train less experienced mechanics, and lead on road trips.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, walk, bend, stretch, and climb ladders.
