The Easter Seal Society of Iowa is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse or LPN to join our Respite Care team as a Respite Nurse. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fun and team-oriented environment, providing excellent care to our clients in a weekend respite setting.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Inventory client medication, document on provided medication administration records, and prepare and administer medication to clients at scheduled times.
- Client Assessment and Care: Perform client assessments, provide first aid care as needed, and complete client communication forms after client injury, illness, or seizure activity.
- Documentation and Communication: Document administered medication on medication administration records and maintain accurate records of client care.
- Certifications and Licenses: Current Nursing License recognized by the Iowa Board of Nursing and First Aid/CPR/AED Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Availability: Availability to work flexible hours, including Friday evenings, Saturday mornings and afternoons, and Sunday mornings.
