Mammography Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mammography Technologist to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for producing high-quality breast imaging procedures while adhering to established guidelines and protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all breast imaging and DEXA procedures with precision and accuracy.
- Assist radiologists in invasive breast procedures, ensuring aseptic technique and obtaining informed consent.
- Correlate patient clinical history with procedure, documenting and conveying information to licensed providers.
- Select and operate breast imaging equipment and associated devices to achieve desired results.
- Apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions, promoting a positive patient experience.
- Participate in department quality assessments and improvement plans, driving excellence in patient care.
- Certification and Registration in Mammography, ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) (preferred upon hire, or must obtain within six months of hire)
- State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required)
- Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred)
- 1 year experience as a registered mammography technologist (preferred)
