Job Summary:

As a Customer Service Representative with the Arizona Department of Administration, you will play a critical role in assisting the public and regional offices with analysis and interpretation of watercraft registration information. Under the direction of the Watercraft Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with A.R.S. Title 5, US Coast Guard Federal Regulations Title 33, and Commission Rules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and register new watercraft registrations, renewals, transfers, and duplicates.
  • Review documentation for accuracy and completeness to determine compliance.
  • Return invalid transactions with detailed instructions for compliance.
  • Provide customer service to watercraft registrants through the mail and over the telephone, resolving complex registration issues according to laws, rules, and procedures.
  • Research watercraft registration history for public records requests.
  • Utilize the Cash Pro system to financially process watercraft transactions.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Candidates will have knowledge of Game and Fish Commission rules and orders, A.R.S. Title 5, Title 33, and other applicable Arizona Revised Statutes, U.S. Coast Guard Federal requirements governing state registration, law enforcement practices, hull identification and safety equipment, terminology of watercraft structures and equipment, and money handling. Candidates will have skill in active listening, problem-solving, organization, multitasking, oral and written communication, customer service, grammar usage, and 10-key.

Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks.
