Job Summary

We are looking for an individual with strong written and verbal communication skills, a proven ability to assist with the leading of projects and teams, and experience with American Association of State Highway and Traffic Officials guidelines and Florida Department of Transportation requirements for highway design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing roadway geometrics
  • Traffic Control
  • Knowledge of FDOT, municipal design standards and criteria, and practices and policies
  • Write clear, concise, and accurate technical and non-technical reports, correspondence, memorandums, and specifications
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, invoices, and proposals
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D, MicroStation, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Occasional travel to other offices and provide project support as needed
  • Ability to perform field observations in support of construction and data collection
  • Attend client meetings
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Transportation emphasis preferred
  • 5+ years of related experience in highway / roadway engineering design
  • Professional Engineer registration. Florida preferred
Working Conditions

Occasional field work is required along with meeting attendance at client office locations, job sites, or networking events.

Physical Requirements

This job is not physically demanding.
