Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Systems Installation and Maintenance Specialist to join our team at M.C. Dean, Inc. This role will involve installing and maintaining electronic security systems, performing preventive maintenance requirements, and conducting inspections, evaluations, and inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision.
  • Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs, and Safety Audits.
  • Installing and maintaining equipment at both the local and global level per design packages.
  • Programming and installation of head-end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems.
  • Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level.
  • Leading on-site software commissioning and testing.
  • Leading inspections, evaluations, and inventory.
  • Performing take-off project drawings.
  • Creating, documenting, and tracking RFIs.
  • Design assist and feedback.
  • Documenting daily reports and project progress.
  • Communicating project and team member issues/concerns to management.
  • Creating and managing project schedules.
  • Integration of IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems.
  • Forecasting and managing project labor hours.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors and subordinates.
  • Guiding and mentoring technicians.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship status due to contract requirements.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • This position will be 100% travel around the U.S.
  • This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle. Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance with our policy.
  • Education: HS diploma or GED, Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours), or graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or Electrical Apprenticeship program, or an additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.
  • Required progressive experience: 10+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills is a plus.

Desired/Advantageous Qualifications

  • Experience in Lenel, CCURE, Avigilon, and Milestone.

Abilities

  • Lifting at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period.
  • Relocating a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Working at various heights up to 60 feet and climbing and maintaining balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
  • Walking, climbing, lifting, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  • Possessing good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
  • MAY use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
  • Telling when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
  • Applying general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Combining pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
  • Seeing details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Listening to and understanding information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
