We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at Massachusetts General Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' heads and bodies for diagnostic and interventional purposes.
- Assist patients onto the scanner, verify their identification, and enter patient information into the system.
- Ensure that patient files are archived properly and that images are transmitted to the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, and adhere to proper hand hygiene requirements.
- Collaborate with radiologists to ensure that exams are conducted according to protocol and that images are of high quality.
- Master's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT.
- Advanced CT registration required.
- CPR certification required.
- IV skills preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy, cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of the principles of radiation physics and radiographic positioning.
