Job Summary

Brainlab, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Engineer to join our team as a Clinical Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting on-site clinical evaluations to demonstrate the use of our products and services, providing consulting and guidance to physicians and operating room personnel, and leading installations and establishing functionality at new and existing customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site clinical evaluations to demonstrate the use of our products and services, with the goal of increasing the frequency and quality of IGS product usage.
  • Provide consulting and guidance to physicians and operating room personnel, evaluating options and problem-solving during surgery to maximize efficiency and usage.
  • Lead installations and establish functionality at new and existing customer sites, ensuring seamless integration of our products and services.
  • Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel on the use of our surgery products and services, including operating staff, Radiology, Central Sterile Processing, Biomedical, and Information Technologies staff.
  • Utilize engineering expertise to contribute to the quality improvement process, recommending product modifications to enhance our offerings.
  • Act as primary customer liaison, maintaining regular contact with customers to assess satisfaction and usage levels, and working to increase revenue through the sale of service contracts, spare/wear parts, upgrades, and other value-added services.
  • Collaborate with the Account Manager in your region to evaluate customer opportunities and open sales projects, driving business growth and expansion.
  • Resolve product issues through detailed analysis and utilization of engineering expertise, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with new developments regarding our products and services, as well as those of our competitors, through ongoing training and individual research and analysis.
  • Attend surgery continuing education annually and maintain annual product knowledge to stay current with industry advancements.
  • Promote our products and services to surgeons at trade shows, showcasing our expertise and building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction through proactive issue resolution and exceptional customer service.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to support the success of our customers and the growth of our business.

Travel Requirements: 50%+ of the time
